This track was never given the airing it deserved on the original Euphoria album, it clocked in at 2:33 on the original album, and I decided to focus my arrangement and editing on making the track last longer and portray a full sense of the original mood, by using the second breakdown of the track at 1:11, something which was never used on the original compilation. The main reason for this was because the transition from ‘Insomnia’ would have given the listener a good idea of the main theme of the track, and using the second breakdown from the original track would help complement that theme.
It took some concentrated editing towards the end of the track, because again it was another track that had odd 8 bars and 6 bars thrown in here and there, and I had to edit the arrangement down to fit into the 16/32 bar progression to coincide with the following track.
At 3:09 following track ‘Walk With Me’ is brought in, and the key change is a strong whole tone (Dbm-Ebm) – something which gives the impression of a shift in gear, and to help smooth things over, I took a vocal sample from ‘Getting Away With It’ and placed it just before the beginning of ‘Walk With Me’ at 3:36. This vocal sample really helps put emphasis on the shift in key, something which I felt was needed due to the two previous tracks being both in the same key.
